- Experienced in Epoxy based varnish/laminate preparation and evaluation
- Experienced in thermoplastic compounding
- Experienced in design of analytical studies for characterization and mechanism study
- Experienced in identifying alternatives for flame retardants that are phased out due to market or raw material availability or regulatory changes
- Established working relationship with FR producers, FR users and testing labs
- Highly skilled in interpreting patent literature, finding loopholes, identifying opportunities and creating practical projects
- Experienced in writing and evaluating research proposals
- Thorough understanding of flame retardant mechanisms, additives and flammability tests
- In-depth knowledge in current commercial flame retardant technologies and their applications
- Experienced in building and leading multi-disciplinary teams across geographies and growing research programs from white paper to commercial product
- Fluent in spoken and written German; basic translation of articles/patents to support R&D projects
